L’Assicurazione della Qualità (AQ) dei Corsi di Dottorato dell’Università di Padova si sviluppa in coerenza con il Modello AVA 3 dell’ANVUR e con quanto previsto dal D.M. 226/2021, che richiede alle sedi accreditate di adottare un sistema strutturato di progettazione, gestione, monitoraggio e miglioramento continuo della formazione dottorale. L’obiettivo principale è garantire un contesto formativo e di ricerca di elevata qualità, capace di favorire lo sviluppo delle competenze scientifiche, professionali e trasversali dei dottorandi, in linea con gli standard europei per l’assicurazione della qualità nello Spazio Europeo dell’Istruzione Superiore (ESG).
In questa prospettiva, ogni Corso di Dottorato adotta procedure trasparenti di definizione degli obiettivi formativi e dei profili in uscita, pianifica e organizza attività didattiche e di ricerca adeguate e coerenti con la propria missione, monitora i risultati conseguiti e attua interventi di miglioramento basati su evidenze. Il coinvolgimento attivo dei dottorandi, dei docenti e del Collegio dei Docenti rappresenta un elemento essenziale del ciclo di AQ, insieme al dialogo continuo con il Presidio della Qualità di Ateneo, con il Nucleo di Valutazione e con gli organi istituzionali competenti.
L’AQ del dottorato contribuisce così a garantire percorsi formativi rigorosi, internazionalmente riconoscibili e pienamente rispondenti alle esigenze della ricerca avanzata e della società, assicurando un miglioramento continuo dell’esperienza formativa e della qualità dei risultati scientifici prodotti.

Quality Assurance (QA) in the Doctoral Programmes of the University of Padua is implemented in accordance with the ANVUR AVA 3 framework and the requirements of Ministerial Decree 226/2021, which mandates accredited institutions to adopt a structured system for the design, management, monitoring, and continuous improvement of doctoral training. The primary goal is to ensure a high-quality educational and research environment that supports the development of the doctoral candidates’ scientific, professional, and transversal skills, in line with the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
Within this framework, each Doctoral Programme adopts transparent procedures for defining learning objectives and expected outcomes, plans and organizes appropriate educational and research activities consistent with its mission, monitors progress and results, and implements evidence-based improvements. Active engagement of doctoral candidates, academic staff, and the Doctoral Board is a key component of the QA cycle, together with ongoing interaction with the University Quality Assurance Office, the Internal Evaluation Group and the relevant institutional bodies.
Therefore, QA in the doctoral domain ensures rigorous and internationally recognisable training paths that fully respond to the needs of advanced research and society, supporting the continuous enhancement of the learning experience and the quality of the scientific outcomes produced.

Advisory Committee (Comitato Consultivo)

The Advisory Committee, chaired by the PhD Course Coordinator or his/her delegate, has the following minimum composition: three faculty members from the PhD Course Academic Board, a representative of the doctoral students, and a stakeholder, identified with the support of the Alumni Association.

The Advisory Committee provides opinions about the educational offer of the PhD Course and suggests modification in order to better fit the needs of the job market, as concerning the professional profile of the graduated PhD students.

The members are:

• Prof. Francesco Picano – Coordinator;
• Prof. Riccardo Rando ‐ Deputy Coordinator, STASA curriculum, Science Area ‐ member of the PhD Course Academic Board;
• Prof. Mirco Zaccariotto –  MMES curriculum, Engineering Area – member of the PhD Course Academic Board;
• Dr. Paola Zuppella – STASA curriculum, Science Area – representative of the Public Research Bodies – member of the PhD Course Academic Board;
• Prof. Marco Pertile – MMES curriculum – member of the PhD Course Academic Board;
• Mr. Alessandro Crescenzi – representative of the PhD students for the academic year 2025-26;
• Dr. Laura Bettiol ‐ stakeholder internal to the Advisory Committee.

Comitato Consultivo

Il Comitato Consultivo, presieduto dal Coordinatore del Corso di Dottorato o da un suo delegato, è composto da almeno tre membri del Collegio Docenti del Corso di Dottorato, un rappresentante delle dottorande e dei dottorandi e un rappresentante degli stakeholder, individuato con il supporto dell'Associazione Alumni.

Il Comitato Consultivo esprime pareri sull'offerta formativa del Corso di Dottorato e suggerisce modifiche per meglio rispondere alle esigenze del mercato del lavoro, in relazione al profilo professionale delle dottoresse e dei dottori di ricerca.

I membri sono:
