The Interstellar Research Group (IRG), in association with The Venetian Institute of Sciences, Letters and Arts and the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA), is pleased to announce an upcoming special symposia dedicated to the advancement of interstellar exploration.
This prestigious event brings together world-leading experts in exoplanet research, advanced space propulsion, power systems, life support, long-range communications, and beyond. Together, participants will share groundbreaking findings and propose innovative solutions aimed at enabling humanity's future journeys to planets orbiting distant stars.
Reaching interstellar space is a challenge that transcends any single domain; it demands insights drawn from the entire spectrum of human knowledge, creativity, and professional endeavor. We welcome contributions across a broad array of critical disciplines, including:
- Engineering & Technology: Advanced propulsion, power systems, deep-space communications, system reliability, and life support systems/habitats.
- Space Sciences & Destinations: Exoplanet characterization and potential target destinations.
- Human Factors & Society: Crew health, deep-space psychology, anthropology, and long-duration habitability.
- Governance & Humanities: Space law, international legal regimes, ethics, philosophy, policy, media, and the arts.
